Overview
The POM Zoom integration enables Zoom Webinars to be used within the POM platform for hosting Continuing Medical Education (CME) events. This integration allows POM to create and manage webinars, enable live participation, and synchronize attendance data for CME compliance purposes.
This integration is admin-managed and is not installed directly by end users.
Who Can Enable This Integration
Only a Zoom account administrator or an authorized system administrator may enable this integration on behalf of the organization.
End users do not install or manage this integration themselves.
Prerequisites
Before proceeding, ensure the following:
- You have administrator access to your Zoom account
- Your Zoom account has an active Zoom Webinar license
- You are authorized to approve third-party integrations for your organization
How to Add the Zoom Integration
- Sign in to the POM platform using an administrator account.
- Navigate to the Integrations or Settings section.
- Select Enable Zoom Integration.
- You will be redirected to Zoom to authorize access.
- Review the requested permissions and approve the authorization.
- Upon successful authorization, your Zoom account will be connected to POM.
Once completed, POM will be able to schedule and manage Zoom Webinars for CME events.
What Access Is Granted
By authorizing this integration, POM is granted permission to:
- Create and manage Zoom Webinars
- Register and manage webinar participants
- Retrieve webinar attendance data
- Receive event and attendance updates required for CME validation
POM only accesses data required to support webinar delivery and CME compliance.
Removing the Integration
The Zoom integration can be removed at any time by a Zoom account administrator.
To remove the integration:
- Sign in to your Zoom account as an administrator.
- Navigate to Zoom App Marketplace → Manage → Installed Apps.
- Locate POM Zoom Integration.
- Click Uninstall and confirm de-authorization.
Implications of Removal
After the integration is removed:
- POM will no longer be able to create or manage Zoom Webinars
- Live webinar access through POM will be disabled
- Attendance and participation data will no longer be synchronized
- Existing Zoom Webinars in your Zoom account will remain unaffected
Data Handling After Removal
- OAuth access tokens are revoked immediately upon de-authorization
- No additional Zoom data will be accessed after removal
- Any stored attendance records are retained only as required for regulatory and CME compliance purposes
